Discover how to enroll to the courses of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. The Academy has always been committed to creating moments of enrichment for students through conferences, meetings, internships, workshops in collaboration with major Venetian institutions and also by inviting important personalities from the world of culture and the arts. Therefore, studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice represents a unique opportunity to come into direct contact with the art production and its research at a national and international level.
First level courses (three years) How to enroll
You can access the courses in two ways:
Admission without test
If you have achieved one of the following qualifications you are admitted without having to pass the admission test:
- Artistic secondary school diploma (I section - Academy address) (diploma di maturità artistica di prima sezione).
- Secondary school diploma in Applied Arts.
- Experimental secondary School diploma in Arts.
- Artistic secondary school diploma, obtained after the 2014/2015 academic year, issued by the new artistic secondary school.
Admission with test
If you do not have one of the following qualifications:
- Artistic secondary school diploma (I section - Academy and Architecture address).
- Secondary school diploma in Applied Arts.
- Experimental secondary school diploma in Arts.
- School leaving certificate of artistic high school, obtained after the 2014/2015 academic year, issued by the new artistic high school.

Second level courses (two years) How to enroll
Admission without test
If you have obtained the first level diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and you want to continue in the same field of study, you can directly enroll without having to pass the admission test (e.g. a student who completes the three-year period in the painting course and decides to enroll in the two-year period in painting);
Admission with test
If you obtained the first level diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice but you want to continue in a different field of study from the one of your first level course, you must take the admission test. The same applies to students that come from different academies or universities.
